Hi All,
Few updates regarding club activities:
Wednesday Night - Dudley Table Tennis club will be joining our Wednesday night sessions at the club. We kicked off last week with a well attended open practice, along with local league matches being played at the opposite end of the room. Dudley TTC A and B teams competing in the Dudley league will also be playing their matches from our venue going forward. Players from Bromley are encouraged to get involved with the open practice sessions as we expect to have a good group of people practicing each week. If you are looking to play table tennis on a Wednesday evening, Bromley is now the place to be!
League Update - Dudley Table Tennis League starts to conclude during March / April with the final league matches due to due to be played week commencing 13th March. The following weeks will then be available to catchup any postponed league fixtures and play out the semi finals / finals of the cup competitions. Please can any team captains let Mark know of any rearranged fixtures so we have a view of matches being played each night. We are ideally looking to conclude all fixtures by end of March.
Summer League - We are all looking forward to the summer schedule and making plans to start our Summer Singles League in April. The exact date of the league start up is to be confirmed but we are hoping for an early April startup. The summer league is very dependant on peoples support to make it a success and we are looking for people to assist with the following activities:
- Match Card input (people must have access to computer with internet to do this)
- Table setup (people to arrive early and setup match tables in readiness for a prompt 7:30pm start).
If you can assist with either of the above, please reach out to Mark Nicholls or Alan Warby.
Prices - Following the reopening of the club back in October, the club has been run at a loss which is unfortunately not sustainable. We are seeing the club attendance increase but we need to make some adjustments to fees to ensure the future of the club. Our outgoings have increased since before covid so we need to adjust our costs as a direct result. The club is run as "not for profit' and fees are constantly reviewed as part of the clubs accounting. From the start of March, following fees will apply:
Adult:
Practice: £4
Coaching: £6
Juniors:
Practice: £3.5
Coaching: £4
